Darwin Stopover

On Satruday morning we headed to Darwin for a short stopover. We ended up arriving an hour late as there was some storm that made the plane have to circle above Darwin. We picked up our car and then headed to our friends to stay with for the next few night.

then on Sunday we were up early to get to my all time favourite thing to do in Darwin, that is go to the markets. I had to share with Mali the experience of a Mango Lime & Honey Smoothie, plus a heap of other wonderful delights. And of course pickup a little fruit and veg for Grandma Grandpa. Then it was the long drive to Pine Creek for a wonderful catchup with Ken's family. We even managed to collect a young kanga along the way.

I had a few jobs to do at our Marlow Lagoon property. Thankfully with the help of a long time friend. We managed to fill a skip with all those important things you believe you will get back to. Gumtree advertising came to the rescue, in being a cheap way to get rid of all our steel. A quick broom and mop from my sidekick Mali and we were done. So I did an obligatory wonder around the property pondering over whom would get to enjoy this amazing bushy spot with all our exotic fruit tree planting and hard labour.

And finally to reward our hard hot sweaty work we headed down to Darwin's Wave Lagoon for a swim and wave jump before getting on the plane to Nhulunbuy.
